In Murder on Astor Place, midwife Sarah visits her patient and new baby in a rooming house and discovers another boarder has been killed. The victim was from a prominent family which refuses to permit an investigation. With Sergeant Malloy’s help, Sarah begins a dangerous quest to bring the killer to justice.
